Project Overview:
The construction of the Kenya Railways Standard Gauge Rail (SGR) necessitated the relocation of Simba Primary School, whose original land was appropriated for the railway line. Benyton Enterprises Limited was tasked with the demolition of the old structures and the construction of a new, modern school in a designated relocation area.
Scope of Work:
Controlled demolition of existing old classroom blocks
Construction of a new administration block
Construction of modern ablution blocks
Landscaping and site handover
Challenges:
The project required careful coordination with Kenya Railways and the Ministry of Education, as well as sensitivity to the needs of students, parents, and staff during the transition.
Outcome:
The new Simba Primary School stands today as a testament to quality public infrastructure. The client—Kenya Railways—received the project on behalf of the benefactors, Masimba Primary School, with full satisfaction. It remains one of our most visually documented and referenced projects.
