Client: Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries
Service: General Construction & Civil Works
Location: Marimanti Sheep and Goat Station, Tharaka Nithi County
Project Overview:
Following the successful installation of the incubator/hatcher system in 2019, Benyton was called upon again—this time to build the permanent housing for the unit. It was a lean year, with the COVID‑19 pandemic disrupting economies worldwide, but we relished the opportunity to complete what we had started.
Scope of Work:
-
Design and construction of a dedicated incubator/hatcher housing unit
-
Installation of wind‑powered ventilators for climate control
-
Secured grounds, gate posts, and construction information board
-
Integration of the system into the new structure
Outcome:
The completed housing unit was featured in the DVS Magazine (February 2020) , with Dr. Othieno Joseph highlighting the facility as part of the government’s Big Four Agenda under Food and Nutrition. The project remains a flagship example of our end‑to‑end capability—import the equipment, install it, and build the house around it.
“When complete, the state Department is targeting to rear 1000 Parent stock of improved indigenous breed… producing 5000 eggs per week.” – DVS Magazine
